Bosch Fawstin - The Infidel Artist - 9/11 Act of Faith / Act of War

Great to have Bosch back with us again to unpack the reasons behind 9/11. Bosch grew up in a Muslim family but rejected Islam in his teens and now uses his art to mock Islam. His background gives him a good understanding to go deeper into the reasons that lay behind the unforgettable terror attack on America 20 years ago. We are told that those who carried it out were not "true Muslims" yet they claimed to be motivated by their religious belief. So was the attack a naked act of terror based on hatred and anger alone or was it an act of faith based on Islamic teachings and history. Have a listen and make up your own mind.
Bosch Fawstin is an Eisner nominated cartoonist and his current work is his series, The Infidel, featuring Pigman.Bosch came to public attention in 2015 when he was the winner of the AFDI Mohammad Cartoon Contest, organised by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer.As he accepted the award in Garland, Texas, two Muslims tried to kill him but were shot dead by undercover cops.Bosch was born into a Muslim family but rejected Islam when he was 16.Since he was a child he had natural artistic flair and he has used that creativity to mock and ridicule Islam and to promote Free Speech.He has probably drawn Muhammad more than any other artist.His wonderfully distinctive voice is also heard on the intro & outro to Hearts of Oak Podcast!

Petr Bystron - German Election Special. AfD Repeat 2017 Miracle and Hold Firm with 83 Seats

Petr Bystron joins Hearts of Oak as a newly elected AfD member of the Bundestag following the German Elections. AfD has held onto the breakthrough from 2017 and kept its support in its heartland in East Germany. Despite the efforts of the media and political class to threaten and silence the AfD, the people by and large ignored that. AfD support has held above 10% and Petr returns to the German Parliament along with 82 other AfD representatives. The message of freedom, common sense and national identity has once again connected with the voters.

Since the collapse of the Afghan government and the surrender of US forces and swift retreat, many are asking is this the beginning of something much worse? 20 years of US military engagement kept the Taliban under control and contained the Afghan problem. But now America is nowhere to be seen and the Taliban are emboldened and very well armed thanks to Biden. What does this mean for regional stability and for the world?!
Clare M. Lopez is a strategic policy and intelligence expert with a focus on Middle East, national defense, WMD, and counterterrorism issues. Specific areas of expertise include Islam and Iran. Lopez began her career as an operations officer with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), serving domestically and abroad for 20 years in a variety of assignments, and acquiring extensive expertise in counterintelligence, counternarcotics, and counterproliferation issues with a career regional focus on the former Soviet Union, Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans.Now a private consultant, Lopez also serves as Vice President of the non-profit forum, The Intelligence Summit, and is a Professor at the Centre for Counterintelligence and Security Studies (CI Centre), where she teaches courses on the Iranian Intelligence Services, and the expanding influence of Jihad and Sharia in Europe and the U.S. Lopez received a B.A. in Communications and French from Notre Dame College of Ohio (NDC) and an M.A. in International Relations from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University. She completed Marine Corps Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Quantico, Virginia before declining a commission in order to join the CIA. Lopez is a member of the Board of Directors for the Institute of World Affairs and also serves on the Advisory Board for the Intelligence Analysis and Research program and as an occasional guest lecturer at her undergraduate alma mater, NDC. She has been a Visiting Researcher at Georgetown University and a guest lecturer on terrorism, national defense, international relations, and Iran there, at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA, and the National Defense Intelligence College in Washington, D.C.
